75th Anniversary: History in Film

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of North Oaks , Doug and Mari Hill Harpur partnered with Sadis Productions, (the production company behind the docu-series The Empire Builder,) to create a short film highlighting the history and legacy of North Oaks.

The film, North Oaks, a 75-Year Legacy of Family, Community & Conservation, was premiered during two private events honoring the people who have shaped North Oaks over the decades. The film highlights the beginnings of the company, its rich history, the importance of conservation, and the vision that continues to guide North Oaks today.

The first, a lunch hosted in the Jerome Room and catered by Tria Restaurant, welcomed city workers past and present whose dedication to building, maintaining, and shaping North Oaks has made it the community it is today. The second, an evening cocktail reception, gathered friends of North Oaks whose continued commitment to conservation, support for local organizations, and vision for thoughtful development carry Louis Hill Jr.’s legacy forward.

Events featured speeches from Mark Houge (President), Mari Hill Harpur (Owner), and Krista Wolters (Mayor of North Oaks), reflecting on the past 75 years and the uniqueness of North Oaks.

All of us have contributed to shape this town into what it is today. All of us can take credit for the success of North Oaks. I am proud to be a part of what we have created. I would like to say to say thank you to everyone.
